Wolfson Centre for Biological Imaging
The Wolfson Centre for Biological Imaging provides state-of-the art equipment for optical microscopy, thereby enabling world-class research at the University of Sussex. Our scientists use a range of different types of microscopy techniques to investigate the normal function of cells and tissues as well as the defects associated with disease. These resources help further our understanding of the basic processes of life and drive discoveries that will help transform people’s lives.
Generous support from the Wolfson Foundation has recently enabled us to acquire five new instruments, including two latest super-resolution confocal microscope, a STED microscope with single molecule resolution, a live imaging capable high content screening microscope, and a multiphoton microscope for imaging neural activity in the live brain.
We are extremely grateful to the Wolfson Foundation for investing in this Centre to support biomedical research at the University of Sussex.
Experience cutting-edge imaging technology for your research.
